Our Mission:
Our lab is commited to studying the ecology of marine phytoplankton that live in and around the Mobile Bay area. We have study sites in Mobile Bay, Weeks Bay, Little Lagoon and as far out as 20 miles off shore. By using the various changing environmental conditions we can look at the affects that nutrients, light, and temperature have on photosynthetic response. To determine these responses we use instruments that measure productivity.
